Sunday Mornings


There are several classes that take place

on Sundays 10:00-10.45am including:



Transformation of People in Christian Studies

Description: two topical studies classes for adults

offered in six week increments


Co-Ed Bible Study Class

Martin Sparrow Class

Ruth Class

Willing Workers Class

Location: 1st floor of Sanctuary building


Youth participate in Sunday School classes 10:00-10:45am



The teens class studies various topics.


Pre-K-5th Graders

The children learn about faith through the Shine curriculum.



Preschool aged children begin their mornings with music:

2-3 years: Sing-a-long with Ms. Jane

4-6 years: Treble Makers Choir Practice 9:30-9:45am

4-6 years: Joyful Noise Ringers (Bells) Practice 9:45-10:00am


Music is followed by Sunday School class 10:00-10:45am



The nursey at Mount Carmel is an engaging and safe place where your children can experience God’s love for them.  We want all our nursery kids to know that God made them and loves them, and that Jesus wants to be their friend forever!


The nursery is staffed during each of our worship service times (9:00am & 11:00am) and during class time (10:00am)

Sunday Nights


Youth participate in various activities between 5:00-6:30pm with dinner provided including:



Teens explore their faith through study series, videos, small group studies, biblical teaching, and testimony.


1st-5th Graders

1st-5th graders are invited to attend the Secret Agents program.



The Hand Bell Choir meets for practice at 6:00pm.

Wednesday Nights

Join us every Wednesday night for dinner and fellowship

Meal: 6:00pm $4 per person

*A church conference follows dinner the fourth Wednesday of the month*


Programs for all ages after dinner including:


Sanctuary Choir

Those belonging to the choir that performs during the traditional Sunday service meet for practice 7:30-9:00pm.




Teens focus on answering the tough questions that face teenage Christians on a daily basis.


1st-5th Graders

Young Musicians Children’s Choir 6:30-7:15

Their weekly practices prepare them for their quarterly Sunday performances.


Toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergartners enjoy devotion and play  after supper.


The first Wednesday of each month, parents of the kids participating in programs meet in the Fireplace Room 6:30-7:30pm for a combined nursery-children team meeting and parent-volunteer gathering.


Cooperative Baptist Student Fellowship (CBSF)

Mount Carmel volunteers prepare a meal for CBSF students at UNC once a month.

A group of retired and semi-retired individuals that meets monthly.

Gateway Community Bible Study for Women

Contact: Kathy Russell

A community wide women's bible study hosted at Mount Carmel on Tuesday evenings 6:45pm-8:15pm.

Women's Bible Study

This group meets Tuesday mornings at the Foster home for study.

Empty Nesters

Contact: Virginia Taylor

A group of adults whose children have left home that meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm at varying restaurants.

Men’s Breakfast

Contact: Kevin Klingel

This group meets Tuesdays at 6:15am to recap the previous Sunday’s scripture and sermon.

Carolina Meadows

One Tuesday a month a minister from Mount Carmel leads a worship service at Carolina Meadows.
