Katie Donoway
Preschool Director
Katie is a Durham native, a mom of 3, and the director at Preschool of the Warm Heart in Chapel Hill. Her path to preschool directorship has been about timing. Time as the daughter of a preschool teacher, watching the magic unfold as we worked to turn my mom’s classroom into a winter wonderland. Time teaching precious 2-year-olds developing curriculum and nurturing the littlest learners. Time as a preschool advisory board chair running successful fundraising campaigns, helping to develop protocols, and supporting teachers. And finally, a time of transition - as her oldest child heads off to college, she recognized that it was time for me to take on a new role and Katie is very grateful to be doing just that at Preschool of the Warm Heart.
